What is the GrabScholar College Scholarship?

The GrabScholar College Scholarship is a full-ride, merit-based scholarship covering the entire 3- to 4-year duration of a college degree program, provided the scholar meets the program’s retention requirements. The scholarship is open to any university or college in the Philippines.

The scholarship covers eligible degree programs in Business, STEM (excluding medical courses), and Sustainability.

Who can apply for the GrabScholar College Scholarship?

According to Grab’s published qualifications, an applicant must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Must be an incoming freshman or first-year college student who will be studying at any university or college during the 2027-2030 Academic Year.
  • Must not be currently receiving any other scholarship or educational assistance.
  • Must have obtained a GPA of 90% or higher in Grade 12.
  • Must have no disciplinary sanctions during senior high school.

Applicants who already hold an active scholarship are not eligible to apply for the GrabScholar College Scholarship.

Note: Applicants aged 17 and below cannot apply on their own. A parent or legal guardian must apply on their behalf.

GrabScholar College Scholarship Benefits

For the entire duration of the scholar’s degree or college program, the scholarship covers:

  • 100% of tuition and miscellaneous fees
  • School Supplies Allowance (for uniforms, textbooks, and student ID): ₱11,000 per year
  • Monthly Student Allowance: ₱8,000 per month
  • Learning and development programs
  • Internship opportunities

GrabScholar Documentary Requirements

Required documents vary depending on the applicant’s relationship to the student and, where relevant, to a Grab or Move It driver or merchant partner. In general, applicants should prepare:

  • Birth certificate
  • Marriage certificate (if applicable, depending on applicant category)
  • Certificate of legal guardianship (if applicable, depending on applicant category)
  • Grade 12 report card
  • Acceptance Letter from the College or University, or a similar document
  • Certificate of Good Moral Standing from Senior High School

Applicant categories and specific requirements include:

  • Parent applying on behalf of their child: birth certificate (1 for the applicant/student), Grade 12 report card, Acceptance Letter, Certificate of Good Moral Standing
  • Adult applicant applying for themselves: birth certificate, Grade 12 report card, Acceptance Letter, Certificate of Good Moral Standing
  • Legal guardian applying on behalf of their ward: certificate of legal guardianship, Grade 12 report card, Acceptance Letter, Certificate of Good Moral Standing
  • Adult applicant who is the child/ward of a Grab/Move It driver or merchant partner (owner or staff): birth certificate (1 for the applicant/student), Grade 12 report card, Acceptance Letter, Certificate of Good Moral Standing
  • Adult applicant who is the spouse of a Grab/Move It driver or merchant partner (owner or staff): marriage certificate, Grade 12 report card, Acceptance Letter, Certificate of Good Moral Standing

For Merchant Partners: A Grab Service Fee statement or Tax Invoice from the merchant portal must also be submitted.
