What is Ayala Foundation U-GO Scholar Grant

The U-GO Scholar Grant is a scholarship program managed by Ayala Foundation as the implementing partner of U-GO in the Philippines. U-GO is a global non-profit organization that helps ambitious and promising young women pursue higher education by providing scholarship grants.

Interested applicants are encouraged to prepare their requirements early before the application portal opens.

What are the qualifications?

To qualify for the Ayala Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

  • Must be female and a Filipino citizen;
  • Incoming first-year, second-year, or third-year college student for SY 2026–2027;
  • Incoming fourth-year college students may apply only if they are taking a five-year course – students graduating in SY 2026–2027 are not eligible;
  • Must enroll in a public or state university or college for SY 2026–2027;
  • Must not have any existing scholarship;
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 85%;
  • Must demonstrate financial need; and
  • Must have no disciplinary or administrative cases.

What are the requirements?

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documentary requirements:

  • Current Official Certificate of Registration or Enrollment signed by the Registrar (wet signature);
  • Latest copy of grades signed by the Registrar (wet signature); and
  • Documentation of financial need – any of the following:
    • Most recent Income Tax Return (ITR) of parent/s or guardian/s;
    • Tax Exemption Certificate from the BIR;
    • Certificate of Indigency of parent/s;
    • For children of OFWs and seafarers, recent contract or proof of income; or
    • Latest copy of electric bill or water bill (if available).

How to apply for Ayala Foundation Scholarship

Make sure to prepare all the required documents before applying. Then, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Visit afi.ph/ugoeligibility2026 and fill out the eligibility form to check if you qualify.

Step 2: If eligible, you will receive an application ID and link via email within 48 hours. Fill out the application form and upload your required documents. You can save your progress and return to it later.

Step 3: If you make the shortlist, submit a recommendation letter. The link to the recommendation form will be sent to your email address.

Step 4: Book your interview. A booking link for the interview schedule will be sent after submission of the recommendation letter. All interviews will be conducted online.

Note: Only applications submitted online will be screened. Make sure your email address is correct when filling out the eligibility form.

Application Period

The application period for the 2026 U-GO Scholar Grant runs from May 5 to June 6, 2026.
