GBF STEM Scholarship 2026: Requirements & How to Apply

GBF STEM Scholarship is now open for college students who are pursuing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses.

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation aims to help deserving Filipino students complete their college education in STEM-related fields. Similar to the SM College Scholarship, this program supports students from college until graduation. Aside from financial aid, it also provides opportunities for scholars to develop their skills and gain real-world experience.

What are the benefits of the GBF STEM Scholarship?

Scholars under the GBF STEM Scholarship will receive the following benefits:

  • ₱80,000 to ₱120,000 annual financial grant, depending on the university
  • Financial assistance directly credited to the scholar’s bank account
  • Access to scholar development programs such as leadership training and skills development
  • Internship opportunities within companies under the Gokongwei Group
  • Possible employment opportunities after graduation, subject to company requirements

Is there a Return of Service?

The GBF STEM Scholarship includes a required return of service with the Gokongwei Group for a maximum of two years. Applicants must be willing to fulfill this commitment upon acceptance into the program.

What are the qualifications?

Interested applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen
  • A graduating Grade 12 student or currently enrolled in college
  • Pursuing a STEM-related course
  • With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or its equivalent
  • Of good moral character
  • Actively involved in extracurricular activities
  • Able to demonstrate financial need

What are the priority courses?

Applicants must take or plan to take any of the following STEM-related programs:

  • BS Accountancy
  • BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology
  • BS Animal Science
  • BS Avionics Technology
  • BS Chemical Engineering
  • BS Chemistry
  • BS Civil Engineering
  • BS Computer Science
  • BS Data Science
  • BS Electrical Engineering
  • BS Industrial Engineering
  • BS Information Technology
  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • BS Pharmacy
  • BS Radiologic Technology
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

What are the documentary requirements?

The requirements depend on your current year level. If you are already a 3rd-year student and looking for more options, you may also be eligible for the DOST JLSS Scholarship.

For Incoming College Students:

  • Certified True Copy of Grades (Grade 12 Report Card / Form 137)
  • Notice of Admission or Proof of University Application for A.Y. 2026–2027

For Continuing College Students (2nd Year and Above):

  • Certified True Copy of Grades for the last two consecutive semesters

Proof of Income (any of the following):

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Certificate of Employment with salary
  • Employment contract for OFWs
  • Income records for self-employed individuals
  • Proof of pension (if applicable)
  • BIR Tax Exemption Certificate for families with no regular income

How to apply for the GBF STEM Scholarship 2026

To apply for the scholarship, follow these steps:

  • Fill out the online form through the Jotform application portal.
  • Make sure to upload all required documents in PDF or JPEG format, using the naming convention STEM_DocumentName_LastName_FirstName.
  • Submit your application before May 31, 2026, and regularly check your email for updates on the exam schedule and interview invitation.

The deadline for submission of applications for the GBF STEM College Scholarship is May 31, 2026.
