What is the DOST Junior Level Science Scholarship?
The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS).
This program is specifically designed for incoming third-year college students enrolled in priority science and technology courses. It aims to support talented, financially challenged students and ensure a steady flow of qualified S&T professionals to drive national progress.
What are the benefits of the scholarship?
Qualified scholars will receive the following benefits:
- Tuition and other school fees (for private schools): up to ₱40,000 per academic year;
- Learning Materials and Connectivity Allowance: ₱10,000 per academic year;
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₱8,000 per month;
- Transportation Allowance: One economy-class roundtrip fare (if studying outside home province);
- Group Accident and Health Insurance;
- Thesis Allowance: ₱10,000;
- Research Dissemination Grant: up to ₱50,000;
- Graduation Allowance: ₱1,000.

What are the qualifications?
Before applying, please make sure you meet the following requirements. If you are not eligible for this program, you can check these other scholarships in the Philippines.
- Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen;
- Regular second-year college student and incoming third-year college student in Academic Year 2026-2027;
- Enrolled in a DOST priority science and technology course with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 83%;
- Student-applicants must be in good health and of good moral character;
- Must not have previously taken and passed the DOST-SEI scholarship examination.
What are the requirements?
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- Certificate of Good Moral Character;
- Certificate of Good Health;
- Certificate of Program of Study and Year Level;
- Certificate of Residency (for RA 7687 applicants);
- Commitment to Return Service Form;
- Signed Declaration Form;
- Certified True Copy of Grades / Transcript of Records (TOR) / True Copy of Grades (TCG);
- Recent passport-size photo;
- Birth Certificate;
- Proof of Parent or Guardian Income;
- Other supporting documents, if applicable.
