Security Bank Foundation Scholarship 2026: Apply Now

Security Bank Foundation (SBFI) has officially opened the applications for the Scholars for Better Communities College Scholarship Program for Academic Year 2026–2027.

For Academic Year 2026–2027, the program is now accepting applications from incoming first-year college students and select continuing college students. Slots are limited, so applicants are encouraged to apply early.

What are the eligible courses?

The scholarship covers students taking up the following priority courses:

  • Accountancy;
  • Accountancy Information Technology;
  • Internal Auditing;
  • Marketing;
  • Financial Management;
  • Industrial Engineering;
  • Management Engineering;
  • Applied Mathematics;
  • Business Analytics/Statistics;
  • Data Science; and
  • Computer Science/Technology, Information Systems/Technology.

What are the qualifications?

Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Incoming first-year college student in any of the 8 partner universities, or a continuing college student (limited slots available in specific universities);
  • General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93% or its equivalent;
  • No subject grade of below 86% or its equivalent;
  • Must not be a child of a Security Bank employee; and
  • Must have 90% and above grades in High School (Grade 7–12) subjects aligned to their college course.

What are the benefits of the scholarship?

Scholars under the SBFI Scholarship Program are entitled to the following benefits per academic year:

For scholars in State Universities:

  • Stipend – ₱25,000 per half-semester or ₱100,000 per year; and
  • Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees – no allotment due to the Free Tuition Law.

For scholars in Private Universities:

  • Stipend – ₱12,500 per half-semester or ₱50,000 per year; and
  • Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees – maximum of ₱100,000 per year.

In addition to financial assistance, SBFI also provides non-monetary benefits such as internship opportunities, involvement in corporate social responsibility activities, and attendance to learning sessions provided by partner institutions.

What are the requirements?

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documentary requirements:

  • Duly accomplished Online Application Form;
  • High School Grade 7–12 Transcript of Records with GWA (Grade 12 grades can be up to December 2025 if 2026 grades are not yet available);
  • Latest Parent/Guardian’s Income Tax Return (for employed), Certificate of Indigency (for unemployed), or copy of OFW Employment Contract with Compensation;
  • Proof of Admission or Acceptance Letter from any of the 8 partner schools;
  • Birth Certificate of the applicant; and
  • Portrait photo of the applicant.

Note: Upon admission to the scholarship program, additional documents will be required, including the Certificate of Enrollment, school calendar, grading system, course curriculum, and a copy of the parent or guardian’s government-issued ID.

What are the partner schools?

The following are the eight (8) partner schools of the Security Bank Foundation Scholarship:

  1. Ateneo de Manila University;
  2. Chiang Kai Shek College;
  3. De La Salle University Manila;
  4. Far Eastern University Manila;
  5. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila;
  6. Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Sta. Mesa);
  7. University of the Philippines Diliman; and
  8. University of Santo Tomas Manila.

  • De La Salle University – August 31;
  • University of Santo Tomas – July 31;
  • Far Eastern University – August 09;
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila – July 17;
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines – July 31; and
  • University of the Philippines Diliman – August 09.

Since slots are limited, applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
