Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Scholarship offers ₱50,000 stipend to qualified students

Qualified public university and college students may receive up to ₱50,000 in stipend through the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Scholarship Program, providing financial assistance to help cover school-related and living expenses.

The program is open to incoming and currently enrolled college students taking select priority courses at public state universities and colleges (SUCs), subject to eligibility requirements and a competitive screening process.

The CLFI Scholarship, also known as the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. Nationwide Scholarship Program, is implemented by CLFI under the PJ Group of Companies. It aims to democratize financial access and support economically challenged Filipino students pursuing college education.

What is the CLFI Nationwide Scholarship Program?

The CLFI Nationwide Scholarship Program is a financial assistance initiative that provides grants for college education, from 1st to 4th year, to economically challenged Filipino students nationwide. It is administered by the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) through robust financial literacy programs and inclusive financial solutions.

The program is open to students who are:

  • Incoming or currently enrolled at a public university or college only
  • Taking one of the following supported courses: Accountancy or Finance Management, Business, Hotel & Restaurant Management or Hospitality Management, Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial), Architecture, or Psychology

Private university and college students are not eligible, regardless of course.

CLFI Scholarship Benefits

Qualified CLFI Scholars may receive a fixed stipend of up to ₱50,000, intended to subsidize essential school-related and living expenses.

Under the E2E provision, scholars may also access employment opportunities with PJLI upon graduation, with pre-employment test exemptions granted to those who graduate with Latin honors or a GWA of 90% or its equivalent.

Who can apply for the CLFI Scholarship?

According to CLFI’s published eligibility criteria, an applicant must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • The applicant, or a relative by consanguinity up to the second degree or by affinity up to the first degree, must be a Cebuana Lhuillier client.
  • Must have a Cebuana Lhuillier Microsavings account, where grants will be credited.
  • Must be an incoming or currently enrolled college student at a public university or college, in a supported course only.
  • Total annual family income must not exceed ₱350,000.
  • Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or its equivalent from the last semester or school attended, with no failing mark in any subject.

Only one child per household may apply within the same school year, and only courses aligned with the scholarship’s E2E provision will be accommodated. Meeting these qualifications does not automatically guarantee selection, as applications go through a paper screening and interview process.

CLFI Scholarship Requirements

Applicants should prepare the following documents before applying:

  • Cebuana Lhuillier client proof (with 24K Loyalty Card)
  • Proof of total family income (Income Tax Return, Company Payslip, Certificate of BIR Tax Exemption, or Certification of Non-Filing of Income)
  • GWA of 85% or its equivalent from the last semester/school attended (2nd Semester, SY 2025–2026 grades; incoming freshmen may submit Senior High School grades)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character, duly signed by an official from the last school attended
  • Current enrollment or registration form (First Semester, SY 2026–2027)
  • University or college’s grading system in percentages

Applicants whose Grade 12 report card has not yet been released may instead request a certification from their registrar’s office showing their Grade 12 GWA.

Unlike locally announced scholarships that depend on a specific city or institution’s implementing office, the CLFI Nationwide Scholarship Program uses a single centralized online application system.

  2. Click the Scholarship Form tab on the page.
  3. Complete the online application form and upload the required documents.

After submission, CLFI reviews applications through a paper screening process involving various departments within the PJ Group of Companies.

Applicants who pass screening will be notified to attend an interview session with a parent or guardian. Official results will be announced on or before the last week of October 2026.
