Metrobank Foundation Scholarship 2026
The Metrobank Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance and developmental opportunities to deserving Filipino college students enrolled in priority courses at Metrobank Foundation partner schools.
A total of 150 scholarship slots are available nationwide for Academic Years 2026-2030, with 10 slots allocated per partner school.
What are the benefits of the scholarship?
Scholars under the Metrobank Foundation Scholarship Program will receive the following benefits:
- Up to ₱170,000 annual support, including tuition assistance and living allowance;
- Participation in leadership development activities;
- Internship opportunities; and
- Future employment opportunities within Metrobank and the GT Capital group of companies.
Note: Any tuition amount exceeding the scholarship coverage shall be shouldered by the scholar. The scholarship may cover up to four (4) years of study, subject to annual evaluation and compliance with scholarship requirements.

What are the qualifications?
Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a Filipino citizen;
- Must be an incoming first-year student for 4-year degree programs with a Grade 12 GWA of at least 90%, or an incoming second-year student for 5-year degree programs with a first-year GWA of at least 85%;
- Must have a combined annual family income of ₱500,000 or below;
- Must meet the admission requirements of a Metrobank Foundation partner school;
- Must be enrolled in a selected priority course of the partner school;
- Must have good moral and behavioral standing; and
- Must not be a recipient of a full scholarship or financial aid from another program.
Note: Applicants whose annual family income exceeds ₱500,000 must submit a Letter of Explanation justifying the need for the scholarship.
What are the partner schools and eligible courses?
The following are the 15 partner schools and their eligible courses for Academic Years 2026-2030:
NCR:
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics;
- University of the Philippines Diliman – BS Statistics;
- University of the Philippines Manila – Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology;
- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila – Business Administration, Accountancy, Physical Therapy;
- Philippine Normal University – Secondary Education (Science and Mathematics), Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education, Values Education; and
- University of Santo Tomas – Medical Technology, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology.
Luzon:
- Ateneo de Naga University, Naga City – Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Accountancy;
- Saint Louis University, Baguio City – Business Administration, Accountancy, Industrial Engineering; and
- Central Luzon State University, Nueva Ecija – Biology, Animal Science, Environmental Science.
Visayas:
- Central Philippine University, Iloilo City – Agriculture, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering;
- University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu City – Business Administration, Accountancy; and
- Silliman University, Dumaguete City – Marine Science, Biology, Anthropology, Physics.
Mindanao:
- University of Mindanao, Davao City – Accountancy, Business Administration;
- Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City – Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy; and
- Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City – Accountancy, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship.

What are the requirements?
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documentary requirements:
- Certified True Copy of PSA Birth Certificate;
- Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records, Report Card, or Summary of Grades;
- Proof of Family or Household Income – any one of the following:
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR);
- BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption; or
- Affidavit of Non-Filing of Income Tax;
- Letter of Explanation justifying the need for scholarship (for applicants with annual family income exceeding ₱500,000);
- Duly Notarized Affidavit certifying that the applicant is not currently receiving a full scholarship or financial aid from another program;
- Proof of Residence (latest utility bill or equivalent proof of address); and
- Recent photos of the applicant’s residence, including front exterior view of the house and interior living spaces (living area, kitchen, and bedroom/s).
