The Tzu Chi Foundation Scholarship 2026 is now open for college students who need financial assistance for Academic Year 2026-2027.
The scholarship is part of the Educational Assistance Program of the Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines, a humanitarian organization that supports students from low-income families. It provides financial assistance to help students continue their education and also promotes volunteerism, discipline, and personal development among scholars.

What are the benefits of the Tzu Chi Foundation Scholarship?
Qualified scholars under the Tzu Chi Foundation Scholarship will receive the following assistance:
- Monthly allowance
- Books and school supplies
- Internet support
- Uniform assistance
- Project and thesis support
- Field trips, training, and seminars
- Transportation allowance
- Lodging support
- Graduation fees
What are the qualifications?
- Must be enrolled in a partner state university or college
- An incoming 2nd year college student
- Must belong to a financially challenged family
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 2.25 (82%)
- With no failing grades
- With no incomplete grades
- A regular student
- Must pass the interview and home visitation
- A resident of Metro Manila or nearby areas in Rizal
Note: Since this scholarship is for 2nd-year students, you should also check your eligibility for the DOST JLSS Scholarship, which also targets students at the mid-point of their college degree.
What are the documentary requirements?
Applicants need to prepare the following documents:
- Duly accomplished Tzu Chi application form
- Latest report card
- Latest registration form
- A 1×1 ID picture
- An autobiography
- A recent family picture
- Photos of the inside and outside of the house
- A copy of utility bills
- A sketch map of residence with landmarks
- Latest ITR or parent’s payslip (if applicable)
- Barangay Certificate of Indigency

Applicants must be enrolled in any of the following partner schools:
- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM)
- Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina (PLMar)
- Philippine Normal University (PNU)
- Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)
- Quezon City University (QCU)
- Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)
- University of Caloocan City (UCC)
- Universidad de Manila (UDM)
- University of the Philippines (UP)
