How to Apply PHINMA National Scholarship 2026

PHINMA Foundation is now accepting applications for the PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) Program for Academic Year 2026-2027 for qualified Filipino college students enrolled in partner universities nationwide.

The PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) Program is a life-changing scholarship that goes beyond financial support by nurturing future leaders through mentorship, leadership development, and strong values formation. Through PNS, scholars are supported not only in their academics but also in discovering their purpose, growing as leaders, and uplifting their communities.

What are the accepted programs and partner universities?

To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in any of the following universities and programs for Academic Year 2026–2027:

  • Philippine Normal University – Manila: Incoming first-year students taking Gen Ed (must later major in a core subject);
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa: Incoming second-year students taking BS in Accountancy;
  • PHINMA University of Pangasinan: Incoming first-year students taking Elementary or Secondary Education, or incoming second-year students taking Civil Engineering;
  • Technological University of the Philippines – Manila: Incoming second-year students taking BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Electronic Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, or BS in Mechanical Engineering; and
  • University of the Philippines Diliman: Incoming second-year students taking BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Electronic Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Mechanical Engineering, or BS in Industrial Engineering.

What are the qualifications?

Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen;
  • Must be enrolled for Academic Year 2026–2027 in one of the accepted programs and partner universities;
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80.00 with no failing grades in the previous school year;
  • Must be from a low-income family with a yearly gross household income below ₱300,000;
  • Must show leadership potential and interest in nation-building; and
  • Must not have any immediate family member in the PNS Program or PNS Alumni Association.

What are the benefits of the scholarship?

Scholars under the PHINMA National Scholarship Program may receive the following benefits:

  • Monthly allowance;
  • Annual book allowance;
  • Annual uniform allowance;
  • Professional Development allowance;
  • Graduation Fee Assistance;
  • Financial assistance for one review class for their board examination;
  • Intentional Leadership Development Program;
  • Leadership camps, educational tours, cultural activities, professional and personal development workshops, and various volunteer opportunities;
  • Guidance and support through the Mentorship Program;
  • Latin honors incentives of up to ₱20,000 each; and
  • Board passer and placer incentives of up to ₱20,000 each.

What are the requirements?

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documentary requirements:

  • Clear copy of Registration or Enrollment Form;
  • Official record of latest academic performance:
    • For first-year applicants – clear copy of SHS Transcript of Records or complete clear copies of Grades 11 and 12 report cards;
    • For second-year applicants – clear copy of True Copy of Grades from the first year in college;
  • Proof of Income – submit all that apply:
    • Copy of breadwinner’s latest Income Tax Return and/or copy of pay slips from the last three months;
    • Certification of Low or No Income from the barangay (sealed); or
    • Utility bills showing the last three months of the family’s consumption (for prepaid electricity, submit official transaction records); and

Note: Ask a previous teacher, professor, school official, a PNS alumnus, or a non-relative community leader to complete the recommendation form.

How to apply for the PHINMA National Scholarship 2026

Applicants must submit printed copies of all required documents in a long brown envelope to the university’s OSA, OSFA, or CSDL office.

Write the following at the back of the envelope:

  • Last Name, First Name (e.g., Dela Cruz, Juan A.)
  • University and Course (e.g., TUP – BS in Civil Engineering)
  • Phone Number
  • University Email Address

Application Period

The deadline for applications for the PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) Program for Academic Year 2026–2027 is on July 15, 2026.
