Primary and Secondary Supporting Documents for Filipino Citizens (Registration Purposes)

For registration processes that require identity verification (such as national ID or civil registration systems), a more specific set of primary and secondary supporting documents applies.

Primary Supporting Documents

Registrants are encouraged to bring any of the following:

1. PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth and one (1) government-issued identification document bearing a full name, front-facing photograph, and signature or thumbmark
2. Philippine Passport or ePassport, issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
3. Unified Multi-purpose Identification (UMID) Card, issued by GSIS or SSS
4. Student’s License Permit or Non-Professional/Professional Driver’s License, issued by the LTO

Note: In case of any discrepancy between the entries in the PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth and the government-issued ID presented, the entries in the PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth will be followed.
