The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Bohol is now accepting applications for the DAR Scholarship Program for the Dependents of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (DSP-DARB) for the upcoming academic year.
DAR Scholarship Program for Dependents of ARBs
The DAR Scholarship Program for the Dependents of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (DSP-DARB) provides financial support to qualified dependents of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).
The program enables students to pursue and complete four-year degrees in agriculture or agricultural-related courses in any recognized State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

What are the qualifications?
Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a legitimate dependent of an ARB with a combined gross income of not more than ₱100,000 annually;
- Must be a Senior High School graduate with a general average grade of at least 83%;
- Must have passed the college admission examination given by a SUC;
- Must be in good health and of good moral character;
- Must not be convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude;
- Must not have any pending administrative or criminal case; and
- Must not be a beneficiary of any other government scholarship or financial assistance.
Note: The following order of priority will be followed in the selection of applicants — (1) Son or Daughter, (2) Grandchildren, (3) Nephew or Niece, and (4) Applicants related to their guardians.
What are the benefits of the scholarship?
Scholars under the DSP-DARB will receive the following financial assistance:
- Monthly stipend of ₱3,000;
- Book allowance of ₱2,000 per semester;
- Transportation allowance of ₱500 per month;
- Lodging allowance of ₱500 per month;
- Graduation fee not exceeding ₱5,000;
- Thesis allowance of ₱10,000 (if applicable); and
- Summer allowance of ₱5,000 (if applicable in the curriculum).

What are the requirements?
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documentary requirements:
- Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212, Bio Data, or Information Sheet);
- Certification from the DARRO or DARPO that the applicant is a qualified dependent of an ARB;
- Accomplished Application Form;
- Authenticated copy or certified machine copy of the Birth Certificate of the applicant;
- Health Certificate issued by a government hospital or physician;
- Barangay Clearance;
- Certified photocopy of Form 137 (High School Report Card);
- Statement of commitment and support by the parents or guardian of the applicant;
- Certification of Good Moral Character issued by the High School Principal or a Religious Leader in the community;
- Certified true copy of the Income Tax Return (ITR) of the applicant’s parents;
- Certificate of Rating from the SUC for passing the entrance examination; and
- Certificate of Enrollment (if already enrolled).
